Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Start date: As soon as possible

Salary: Grade D – E , point 14 – 19 (£9.16 - £10.08 per hour, dependent on experience)

Hours of work: 30 hours per week ( Mon - Fri, 8.30am -3.30pm) Term time only

Contract Term: Permanent

We are seeking to appoint a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to our dedicated team of teachers and support staff. The role is for 30 hours per week, 8.30am – 3.30pm, Mon - Fri on a term-time only basis, to start as soon as possible.

This role is to support initially an EYFS child with an Education, Health and Care Plan, but also to work across the school as required. You will need to be flexible and adaptable.

The successful candidate must be able to work effectively and compassionately with a variety of professionals across our growing primary school to support SEN. The role will involve supporting a variety of children with differing needs and working closely with teachers and parents to ensure effective inclusion and excellent progress is achieved.

Experience of working with children with SEN and knowledge of the national curriculum and current inclusion practices are essential for this job.
