St Michael’s Primary School are looking to recruit an outstanding leader for their Early Years team with proven leadership experience, excellent classroom practice and the ability to inspire, both pupils and adults.  You should be able to deliver an exceptional quality of teaching and learning and be passionate about raising standards.

 We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking teacher, who will lead our Early Years team and:

  • Has recent experience in EYFS and confident about teaching phonics;

  • Has very high expectations and excellent behaviour management skills;

  • Has ambition and the drive to invest time in their own professional development, demonstrate exceptional practice in the classroom with the ability to lead and inspire others.

Lunchtime Playworker

Start date: As soon as possible

Salary: Grade B £8.55 - £8.68 per hour (term time only)

Hours of work: 5 hours per week (Monday – Friday 12pm-1pm) 39 working weeks per year

Contract Term: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Michael’s Primary School. We are now recruiting for a Lunchtime Playworker to join us at our new site in Larkhill.

This role has the potential for career development for the right candidate.

About the role

To supervise and assist children during lunchtime, inside the school and in the playground, to ensure a safe and positive learning environment is maintained and that all children behave in an appropriate manner

The person we are looking for should:

  • be able to communicate clearly, understand and follow instructions;

  • have previous experience of undertaking general cleaning duties;

  • have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people;

  • be able to talk to children and adults in a clear and calm manner;

  • be able to work as part of a group and on own initiative;

  • encourage high standards of pupil behaviour at all times;

  • be able to initiate games and activities appropriate to the age of the children;

  • inspire trust and confidence in children;

  • have the ability to empathise with the needs of children.
