Academies Estates Manager

Salary:                         Grade H (£23,111 – £25,463 per annum)

Hours of work:             37 hours, 52 weeks per year with 25 days annual leave plus public holidays

Location:                     Within the vicinities of Larkhill, Durrington, Bulford, and Salisbury

Salisbury Plain Academies are now recruiting for an Academies Estates Manager to work across our 4 primary schools.

Salisbury Plain Academies are delighted to be making an appointment for an Academies Estates Manager to work across our 4 primary school sites.  Salisbury Plain Academies Multi Academy Trust (SPA) is a group of five schools - one infant, three primaries and a secondary situated within the heart of Salisbury Plain. Just off the A303 near Stonehenge, the schools are easily accessible from Salisbury, Andover, Warminster, Marlborough and other surrounding areas.

All our academies collaborate very closely as a family of schools, sharing school improvement strategies and supporting one another. A group of academies working together provides a powerful tool for school improvement and for raising standards.

As the academy trust grows and more capital funding is allocated, we seek an inspiring and ambitious Estates Manager to ensure our primary school sites are welcoming, safe and secure learning environments that we can be proud of. The ideal candidate will be conscientious, self-motivated and dedicated to making an immediate and positive difference.

Interested candidates should be keen, motivated and reliable and have:

  • an excellent working knowledge of the maintaining H&S compliance in a premises environment

  • a proven track record of practical maintenance skills

  • an excellent understanding of services within a building such as boilers, heating, lighting and water management

  • the ability to promote good customer relationships

  • experience of managing staff

Finance Officer (Primary Schools)

Start date: 5th November 2018, or before if the right candidate is available

Salary: Grade G (£10.92 – £11.98 per hour)

Hours of work: 25 hours per week, over 4 days, working across 2 of our primary schools. Term time only plus 2 weeks

Location: St Michael’s Primary School, The Causeway, Larkhill, and Durrington Infant School, Durrington

Contract Term: Permanent

Salisbury Plain Academies are delighted to be making an appointment for a Finance Officer to work across 2 of our primary schools, St Michael’s, based at the brand-new site in Larkhill and Durrington Infant School based in the village of Durrington. Salisbury Plain Academies Multi Academy Trust (SPA) is a group of five schools - one infant, three primaries and a secondary situated within the heart of Salisbury Plain. Just off the A303 near Stonehenge, the schools are easily accessible from Salisbury, Andover, Warminster, Marlborough and other surrounding areas.

The school finance officer will be responsible for the following:

  • Supporting the Principal(s)/ Headteacher(s) in the smooth day-to-day running of the designated schools’ finances and with the setting, monitoring and reporting against the school(s) budget

  • Processing financial transactions and to provide financial support to the designated school(s) within Salisbury Plain Academies.

  • Working closely with the Trust’s central finance team and Director of Business and Finance to ensure that financial policies and procedures are followed within the designated school(s)

The successful School Finance Officer will have a strong accounting background and exposure to working in a busy finance department. Experience within the Education Sector is desirable but not essential. This role demands applicants possess excellent ICT and communication skills with high standards of customer service, flexibility and trustworthiness.
